New label, showcase gig

From yesterday's Nashville Tennessean:

"The Mavericks back in studio
Fans of The Mavericks already had plenty of reason to be excited for the band’s reunion and upcoming tour — kicking off with an appearance this April at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, Calif. Now there’s more cause for celebration: new music from the band.
Nashville label Valory Music Co. has signed the reunited Mavericks and will release an album later this year, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of their 1991 debut album. The band — now consisting of original members Raul Malo , Robert Reynolds and Paul Deakin along with guitarist Eddie Perez — parted ways in 2003.
Before hitting the road, The Mavericks are set to play a private, invite-only show in Nashville tonight, tying into this week’s annual Country Radio Seminar, which takes place at the Nashville Convention Center Wednesday through Friday.
